Rowan Prep School Production

True Sound Hire supplies a complete sound system package to the Rowan Prep School in Claygate, Surrey.

The Surrey based prep school were in need of a completely new PA system for there summer production. After a site visit with there music teacher we decided it would be better to mic the stage and hang overhead microphones above the performance area rather than trying to mic upto 45 children at once.

The sound system consisted of two Mackie SRM 450v2’s & two Mackie SWA1501 subs FOH with six Void Impulse 4ts monitors across the front of the stage.
The whole production was mic’ed up using only 8x AKG c414’s and two handheld Shure radios microphones for speeches at the end. 

Instead of using analogue desk we used a Yamaha LS9 digital mixing desk to control the FOH sound & monitors which makes a world of difference as all the outboard, compressors and EQ and could ever want is already in the desk.

300 children performed over 4 days and each show was near faultless, we are returning again this summer and have been asked this time to supply not only the PA but lighting and staging.
