Paradox drum&bass

When promoter of Paradox Anil Sood was looking to hire a new sound system for his Southampton, Hampshire based drum & bass events he turned to True Sound Hire.

Paradox is Southampton’s premier night for any drum & bass event and has been under the control of Anil Sood owner of Tripp 2 Records for over for 20 years now.

Anil wanted to give his customers the best sound experience he could so we spoke about what we could offer him and his Paradox brand…. The venue was The Square Balloon in Southampton, Hampshire and the 1000 capacity night club suited us down to the ground with great access, a nice big stage to work with and 3phase 32amp power already installed we couldn’t of asked for more.

The PA system would be made up of 16x EM Acoustics quake subs, 8x Meyer MSL-4 midtops, 2x Martin Audio F12s as infill, and 6x EM Acoustics M-12 working as stage and DJ monitors. We also supplied a 8 x 4 Litedeck stage and kited the DJ booth out with 3x Pioneer CDJ 1000mk3, 1x Pioneer DJM800 and 3x Technics 1210’s.

Two FFA10000 power amps took care of the subs whilst we used 2x FFA6004’s for stage and DJ monitors.

Three ways of Shure UHF premier radio mics were handed to the MC’s which gave them the flexibility they needed to move around on stage and around the venue with no restrictions, which we were told, had been a problem before.

The doors opened at 21:00 and it was time for Paradox to show Southampton what they were about……

We had comments all night, people telling us just how intense the sound system was & just how impressive it sounded across the venue.

That and the fact that not even one of the MC’s or DJ’s complained completely sold it to Anil and we have been working alongside him ever since for his bigger events.
