True Sound Hire supply sound & lighting equipment for the Sea Shepherd charity fund raiser held on the HMS Belfast docked in the London Themes.
The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society was established in 1977 & is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Their mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species…..
The Sea Shepherds have to raise all the money themselves and relay on running charity fund raisers to raise money to keep their boats going and carry on saving the world's endangered sea wildlife.
On the 17th of Sep they held a fund raiser on the HMS Belfast in London where we were asked to supply sound & lighting for 2 rooms each holding around 200 guests. We installed two d&b E9 midtops, two d&b E15 subs and four d&b MAX12 stage monitors into the main room and a further two
d&b E9’s and two d&b E15’s into the 2nd room.
The main room was kitted out with a
Presonus 16.4.2 mixing desk and ten
Shure Beta series microphones….. Both rooms were installed with two
Pioneer CDJ1000mk3 cd players and a
Pioneer DJM800 dj mixer.
Lighting was taken care of by placing 40x
LEDj Par 56’s around the venues rooms with
Martin Mania’s to cover the dance floor.
The HMS Belfast was a tad tricky to load onto but with a little hard work and careful planning we were up and running on time, waiting for the bands & Dj’s to arrive. The event was a great success both for the Sea Shepherds rising ££££’s and for us getting loads of great feedback from the event organisers and from the live acts themselves.
With more work lined up with the Sea Shepherds and also with the HMS Belfest London now, we look forward to returning over Christmas & the New Year.
