True Sound Hire Goes Cage Fighting

If you know anything about cage fighting then you would have heard about the FX3 extreme cage fight events held around the UK.
When FX3 got the go ahead to host 12 cage fighting events at the Rivermead Complex in Reading, Berkshire they needed a sound system capable of covering the 2500 seat venue for the fighters music and ring commentating.
They got in contact and popped down to a venue we were working in one weekend (Plug n Play studios in Reading) for a quick demo of the system and to see the clarity was there that they had missed when using other PA systems in the past.
25mins later we confirmed the tour dates and moved forward designing and putting together a sound system that would not only cover the 2500cap venue but also keep all the clarity we had shown was possible across such a wide dispersion room.
We spec’ed d&b C4 for the job along with a number of extra d&b B2 subs under the stage & d&b C6 as infills around the ring / walkways.
Due to us not being allowed to fly the PA system each stack had to be made up of 3x B2, 4x C4 sub and 4x C4 midtops just to get the height across the venue as we had some very funny regulations set upon us by the venue.
The whole system was ran on d&b D12’s which made our lives very easy and basically made it plug & play with the odd adjustment here & there.
We supplied 3 ways of the ultra reliable Shure UHF premier series radio microphone systems across the venue and along with a full Pioneer DJ set up for there DJ’s all ran via a Yamaha LS9 16 mixing desk.
After four events at the Rivermead Complex we started to supply a number of LED uplighters around the venue & stage and ended up installing two large DPSS laser systems to project the fighter’s names and logos as well.
FX3 look to return to Reading in the near future and we look forward to supplying them yet more production.
