The Lab Gruppen fP Amplifiers MLS feature lets the user convert any Amplifier, as simple as it looks, into the perfect drive engine for the individual load impedance, high or low, providing the best possible control of the Loudspeaker cones. The flagship models, fP 6400 and fP 3400, incorporate the quantum leap in amp design: Class TD, Lab Gruppen’s evolution of the common class D. They offer the high efficiency of class D, whilst avoiding all the usual drawbacks.

Lab Gruppen simply sets a new standard! A complete and reliable protection circuitry is a must, and all Lab Gruppen Amps include the ALS short circuit protection in their protection system. All in all, the fP models are the reliable high quality companions both on the road and when permanently installed.

Class D has a Power-Amplifier topology using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to achieve high efficiency, but it needs a recovery filter between the output stage and the Loudspeaker. Lab Gruppen’s Class TD Amplifiers do not need this filter and this is one reason why the Lab Gruppen’s Class TD obtains the same sonic Quality as a traditional Class AB Amplifier.
