Festoon lighting has become very popular in the wedding industry as festoon is perfect for lighting up trees, your marquee and can be mounted on poles or across trees to light up pathways.

Festoon lighting gives you that natural light look & feel which can really help when your party or wedding theme is a little bit rustic. If your looking to hire more than 100m of festoon isn’t a problem as we stock just over 500m in houses & have access to another 200m if need be… That might sound like a lot of festoon lights but it goes quick & we always advise that it’s better to do it right otherwise the overall look can suffer.

A few things to look for when you hire string festoon lights

Make sure the festoon you hire is IP rated if you plan to use it outdoors otherwise you run the risk of hurting not only yourself but others as well not to mention you won’t have the lights working for very long…. (IP rated lighting equipment allows you to use it outside & is classed as a type of water resistant mark / rating)

Look for festoon that is made with black cable! Not often we get calls from people asking us to supply festoon that day ! because a hire company has turned up with 300m of festoon but its made with yellow power cable – Not a great look over your wedding marquee.

Check & ask what colour the string festoon is. You may think that all festoon lighting is the same but there are so many different options is near endless. We stock the natural looking festoon which we have found looks the best for wedding & marquee parties.
